Chelsea vs AC Milan

The Blues' final pre-season game comes tomorrow against Malaysian champions Johor Darul Ta'zim, kicking off at 13:00 local time. Then it's on to the new season, with Chelsea beginning their Premier League campaign at Fulham on 24 August.

A late Chelsea change, as Wesley Fofana makes way for Mamadou Sarr for the final minutes. Robert Sanchez takes the captain's armband, with Fofana having inherited it from Moises Caicedo.

Estevao nearly scores with his first involvement, cutting in from the right and having a low effort blocked by the keeper. From the resulting corner, Geovany Quenda smashes an effort from distance inches wide.

Three more Chelsea changes: Joao Pedro makes way for Mykhailo Mudryk, Estevao replaces Cole Palmer, and young midfielder Reggie Watson comes on for Moises Caicedo.

Chelsea should have had a hatful today. Nicolas Jackson leaves defender Valeri Vladimirov on his backside, cuts in from the left, but his shot to the near post comes off the outside of the woodwork. Should have been four.

Geovany Quenda has been very lively since coming on. A nice drop of the shoulder opens space for a shot on his right foot, which hits the outside of the post and flies wide.

Half-time: Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan. On the balance of play, Chelsea probably deserve their lead, a confidence boost for Joao Pedro after missing a couple of good chances earlier in the half.

A slick AC Milan move looks to get Rafael Leao away from the Chelsea defence, but Josh Acheampong recovers superbly with a fine tackle. From the resulting corner, Christian Comotto's shot is deflected behind.

Marco Palestra charges forward from left-back, cuts inside and feeds Danny Welbeck on the edge of the box. Welbeck's strike is comfortably wide of the near post.
