Xabi Alonso

Xabi Alonso was appointed Chelsea's men's team manager on a four-year contract, beginning his role on 1 July 2026. He arrived at Stamford Bridge after leaving Real Madrid in January 2026, having previously enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Bayer Leverkusen. Known for his possession-based, positionally flexible approach, Alonso is tasked with building a settled identity for Chelsea's new-look squad.
