Chelsea End Bad Run with 3-1 Wolves Win

Having suffered two defeats and three draws in their last five games, Chelsea finally secured a vital three points at Stamford Bridge with a commanding 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Blues’ victory marked a much-needed upturn in form, moving them to fourth in the Premier League table. Goals from Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Cucurella, and Noni Madueke ensured a celebratory atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, overcoming a first-half equalizer from Wolves’ Matt Doherty.

Chelsea started brightly, dominating possession and creating numerous opportunities. Within the first 20 seconds, the team won a corner, signaling their intent.

New signing Tosin Adarabioyo broke the deadlock in the 24th minute, slotting in a composed finish after a deflection landed kindly in his path. Although initially flagged offside, VAR ruled the goal legitimate, giving Chelsea the lead.

Wolves responded with resilience. Matheus Cunha tested Chelsea’s defense, and their pressure paid off in injury time when Matt Doherty leveled the score with a scrappy finish from a corner.

Chelsea regained momentum in the second half, with Marc Cucurella restoring the lead at the hour mark. Noni Madueke extended the advantage just five minutes later, capitalizing on Trevoh Chalobah’s powerful header across goal.

The Wolves attempted a late push, but Chelsea’s defense, anchored by Tosin and Chalobah, held firm. Nicolas Jackson came close to adding a fourth for the Blues, but the scoreline remained 3-1.

The win lifts Chelsea to fourth, closing the gap to third-place Nottingham Forest. With confidence restored, they now prepare for a tough away fixture against Manchester City on Saturday.
