
Following an impressive 7-1 victory over Merstham, Chelsea Under-18s are set to travel to Manchester United in the fifth round of this season’s FA Youth Cup.
The Blues secured their spot in the last 16 with a dominant performance at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening. Shumaira Mheuka was the star of the show, netting a brilliant hat-trick, while Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, Leo Cardoso, Reggie Walsh, and Chizaram Ezenwata also contributed to the emphatic win.
Their opponents, Manchester United, confirmed their progression with a 5-2 home win over Preston North End on Friday, setting up a clash between the two most successful clubs in the competition’s history. United have claimed the trophy a record 11 times, while Chelsea have lifted it on nine occasions, the most recent in 2018.
