Chelsea Confirm Deal to Sign Emanuel Emegha from Strasbourg in 2026

Chelsea have confirmed an agreement to sign striker Emanuel Emegha from Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg, with the Dutch forward officially set to join the Blues in the summer of 2026.

Emegha, 22, has been a standout performer for Strasbourg since arriving from Sturm Graz in 2023 for €13 million. Last season, he scored 14 goals and registered three assists in 27 Ligue 1 appearances, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young attacking talents.

In their statement, Chelsea said: Chelsea Football Club has agreed a deal to sign striker Emanuel Emegha from Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg, with the Dutchman officially joining in 2026.

The forward had attracted interest from several Champions League and Premier League clubs, but Chelsea secured his signature on a seven-year contract.

Emegha had initially been keen to continue with Strasbourg to lead them in European competition before committing to a long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s pursuit of Emegha dates back to last transfer window, when his physical profile and goalscoring impact drew attention from scouts.

At the time, the club opted to bring in João Pedro and Liam Delap. However, with Nicolas Jackson joining Bayern Munich on loan and Delap sidelined for 10–12 weeks with a hamstring injury, Chelsea acted decisively to secure their long-term target.
