Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, moving a step closer to securing one of the summer’s most high-profile transfers.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 20-year-old has settled every detail of his contract with the Blues and is determined to make the move, having made Chelsea his preferred destination since July.
The breakthrough follows reports on Thursday that Chelsea had stepped up their pursuit, with United setting a £50 million valuation for the Argentine.

Negotiations between the clubs over a transfer fee are expected to begin soon, as Chelsea aim to finalise the deal before the new Premier League season.
Garnacho’s situation at Old Trafford has shifted dramatically since the arrival of manager Rúben Amorim earlier this year.
The winger has fallen down the pecking order, has been told he can leave as part of United’s rebuild, and has reportedly been the subject of internal concerns over his attitude.
The West London side are also actively pursuing RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, a long-standing target in this transfer window.
Sources indicate that signing Garnacho would not affect their push for Simons, though talks for the Dutch international have yet to gain significant traction.
If completed, Garnacho’s arrival would add further competition to Chelsea’s wide attacking options.
He would likely challenge Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who recently inherited the club’s number 11 shirt, for a starting role. Bynoe-Gittens is expected to feature in Chelsea’s first pre-season match against Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge later today.
