
Cole Palmer and six Chelsea Women’s players have earned nominations for accolades at the prestigious London Football Awards, set to take place at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, February 27.
The annual event celebrates the achievements of 15 football clubs, recognizing standout performances by players, coaches, and community projects across the capital. Nominations are determined by independent industry experts.
Palmer is in the running for Premier League Player of the Year, competing against Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), Gabriel (Arsenal), Mikkel Damsgaard (Brentford), and Antonee Robinson (Fulham).
On the women’s side, Guro Reiten and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd are contenders for WSL Player of the Year, while Aggie Beever-Jones and Lexi Potter (currently on loan at Crystal Palace) vie for Women’s Young Player of the Year.
Chelsea Women’s head coach Sonia Bompastor has been nominated for Manager of the Year, acknowledging her impeccable start with the Blues, having led the team to 12 consecutive league victories. Hannah Hampton is also recognized in the Goalkeeper of the Year category, which spans both men’s and women’s football.
Chelsea will be hoping to secure multiple wins at this year’s ceremony as the club continues its strong performances in domestic and international competitions.
