Jadon Sancho Praises Maresca’s Aura

Jadon Sancho has expressed his admiration for Enzo Maresaca, Chelsea’s manager, citing the positive impact of his leadership style and presence since his arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old opened up about his first impressions of the manager and how their early interactions gave him the confidence to thrive in a new environment.

“Especially when I first came here [Chelsea], my first talk with him, I got a good feeling, a good impression, so I wanted to play under him,” Sancho shared.

The winger, who joined Chelsea this summer from Manchester United, emphasized the importance of that initial connection in shaping his decision to embrace the move and his role within the squad.

Sancho elaborated further, highlighting the intangible qualities that make the manager a strong leader. “It was just a good feeling, when I entered the room, I just felt his aura, his presence,” he explained.

“As a manager, you need to feel that when you’re in the training ground, especially when he’s talking to you. He’s played the game as well, so he has a lot of experience, and he could teach all the guys something. So it was good.”

Since his transfer, Sancho has adapted well to life at Chelsea, delivering consistent performances and adding depth to the team’s attacking options. His transition has been seamless, and his words reflect not only his respect for the manager but also the confidence and motivation he’s drawn from the club’s environment.
